GW: Wochenvorschau mit Vashtorr und mehr

Vashtorr and Abaddon’s dark crusade is going well – they thank you for asking – and the next part of their inscrutable plan unfolds in this week’s Sunday preview. The Arkifane has now fixed his baleful gaze firmly on the nigh-impregnable fortress monastery of the Dark Angels – can the First Legion withstand the assault?

Arks of Omen: Vashtorr

The third instalment of Arks of Omen zeroes in on the siege of the Rock, as Vastorr searches for a powerful component in his diabolical goal. The Dark Angels aren’t taking this invasion lightly, and rally their forces as a mysterious third party enters the slaughter.

This is the crucial next stage in the overarching narrative of Warhammer 40,000, containing The Rock Besieged, a Boarding Actions campaign with eight new narrative missions telling the story of this climactic raid. There are also additional Boarding Action rules for Chaos Daemons, Necrons, Tyranids, Genestealer Cults, the Death Guard, and the Adeptus Mechanicus.

    Aber war ja klar das Vashtorr erst einmal nur in einer Riesenbox kommt.
    Ich warte auf die Einzel Box.

    • jep….geht mir eher mit dem Boarding Patrols Orks und T’au so, wo sie den neuen Farsight und den neuen Snikrot in einer Box mit altem kram verstecken. Schade. bei deren momentanen tendenzen glaube ich kaum dass ich mir die einzelreleases lesiten möchte. Mal sehen wie hoch mein Druck dann ist 😅

    • Vashtorr hätte ich schon gern, aber wahrscheinlich zieht es mir beim Einzelpreis dann die Schuhe aus. Die Box als Ganzes möchte ich einfach nicht.

  • Hm, Vashtorr hat irgendwie was vom Shrike.
    Gefällt mir tatsächlich. Das ich sowas noch mal sagen kann bei einem GW Release?!? 🥹

  • GW hat sich mit den ganzen Großmodellen für mich in eine Ecke begeben, wo mich das einfach nicht mehr beeindruckt. Das ging mir bei Angron schon genau so. Für Leute wie mich, die nicht mehr wirklich dabei sind, ist kaum noch zu unterscheiden, ob es sich um Charaktermodelle oder „irgendwelche großen Viecher“ handelt…handwerklich ist ja ansonsten nichts zu meckern.

    • Ich denke, dass das nicht mal das Problem der Modelle an sich kst, sondern an der schieren Menge. Angron ist recht neu, aber quasi schon vergessen, jetzt kommt der neue da. Früher (vor einigen Jahren) hätte man nach Angron erstmal ein paar Wochen mit normalen Minis, Gelände usw. zugebracht, bevor der nächste Charakter kommt.

      Dazu kommt natürlich auch die extreme Menge an Details heutzutage. Früher (ja, ich weiß…) war an den großen Modellen insgesamt einfach wesentlich weniger los. Die waren auch beeindruckend, aber da waren dann auf irgendwelchen Schläuchen nicht noch zusätzliche Kabel und Gesichter drauf.

      Mir gefallen die zwar, aber ich finde, weniger Details oder Menge an Modellen pro Zeit wäre besser.

  • Ich freu mich schon ganz extrem auf die Box.
    Bin vor allem auf die ersten Bilder von Azraels Gussrahmen gespannt.
    Würde den sehr gerne umbauen und da kommt es halt daauf an wie der im Gussrahmen angeordnet ist

  • Schön die Uralt-Termis mit in die Box gepackt, da die sich eh verkauft und man sich ja sowieso keine Mühe geben muss.

    • War auch mein erster Gedanke bei der Box, nachdem ich die Termis gesehen hatte.
      Alter Wein in neuen Schläuchen…

  • Tja, ist das mit den Boarding Boxen jetzt eine Art Erweiterung für ein größeres Killteam… kommt mir so vor als kähme da eine neue Welle auf die Spieler zu und eigenartig finde ich auch das alte Sachen, Einheiten oder Modelle mit neuen Charakter Modellen raus kommen.. aber solange das mit diesen rundenbasierenden Regeln bei GW immer noch gemacht wird mag ich das nicht spielen.. öde und langweilig und keine richtige Taktik!
