Terrain Tutorials

A SiFi battlefield, dramatic rock formations, a grimdark forest, ancient pyramids, or deadly swamps: Of course the book offers a great variety of projects, including detailed process descriptions.

This terrain for example is mostly made of cardboard. The tutorial illustrates techniques to make scenery using materials you already have at home. You can even use the packaging of the book and get started.

Templates

To simplify the building process you get 20 pages with templates of items like walls, windows, paving, or doors. You can print them and craft complex shapes that make your models look cutting-edge.   • Schön, wenn es noch mehr Auswahl gibt, aber das Buch vom Terrain Tutor Mel Bose steht schon im Schrank.

    • Ich denke, dieses Buch hier hat einen anderen Ansatz und legt seinen Schwerpunkt auf Tutorials für Geländestücke unterstützt von passenden Schablonen – weniger auf einen allumspannenden Überblick rund um den Geländebau.

    • Man kann auch mehr als ein Buch zu einem Thema haben 😉
      Ich denke mal die Herangehensweise in dem Buch ist anders als die im Buch von Mel.
      Und teuer finde ich das jetzt auch nicht.

  • Die digitalen Schablonen/Vorlagen verwundern mich: findet mam sowas nicht massig nach 30 Sekunden googlen, wenn man den richtigen Suchbegriff kennt?
    Ansonsten schöne Beispielprojekte in der Vorschau.

  • Tja, wahrscheinlich ganz nett und nicht allzu teuer. Andererseit hat´s auch nur 52 Seiten, was mir jetzt nicht allzu umfangreich erscheint. Na egal, ich hab jedenfalls erstmal mit meinem Buch von Michael genug zu schmökern.. 🙂

  • Es hat 152 Seiten, by the Way. Bei dem Preis habe ich mitgemacht. Sehr interessant und es nennt sich ja Vol. 1. Damit könnte es sich zu einem schönen Nachschlagewerk entwickeln.
