Privateer Press: Hyper-Cast Miniaturen

Introducing Hyper-Casts—Semi-Translucent Dyed Resin

We’ve been experimenting with semi-translucent dyed resin off and on for a couple of years now. Translucent materials can provide a new dimension to miniature models, endowing the mini with luminous qualities that aren’t possible in metal or regular opaque resin. Because resin production is a slow, labor-intensive process and dying resin requires dedicating a casting station to a specific color for some period of time and committing to a lengthy cleanup process after the run completes, it’s not practical for us to produce a lot of different translucent items at one time or to keep them in stock perpetually.

But our team has developed a rotating system that will allow us to selectively produce a few translucent items in a single color each month that we think will inspire some fantastic hobby creations.

And so, we’re excited to announce Hyper-Casts: a monthly offering of semi-translucent dyed resin models. Hyper-Casts will only be produced during the month they are offered and only available while supplies last. Each month, we’ll select a new set of models or parts of models to produce in a different color that we think will look great in the translucent resin. You can usually expect a Monsterpocalypse model, which is the inspiration for the Hyper-Cast name, as well as a selection of exciting offerings from our other miniatures lines.

For our first month, in honor of the hallowed season, we’ve selected an orange dye and are running Monsterpocalypse’s seething Mt. Terra, WARMACHINE’s fiery Menite Archon, and the blazing Spirit Cauldron from HORDES’ Boil Master.

We can’t wait to see what you do with the Hyper-Cast miniatures. We’ve seen amazing things done with the translucent resin in the past, whether it’s just the hyper-form of a kaiju or masterpieces splendidly under-lit with LEDs. We hope that the Hyper-Casts inspire your creativity and enhance your tabletop experience, and we hope you’ll share your creations with us and with the community along the way.

Privateer Press Hyper Cast Menite Archon

Hyper-Cast Menite Archon – 39,99 USD

Menoth is known by many names—the Lawgiver, the Lawbringer, the Creator of Man, the Hunter of the Wurm, Wallmaker, the Masked Giant. In the last few decades, Menoth has returned in force to Immoren, revealing his anger over neglect and igniting the fires of zealotry. Now Menoth has sent incarnations of divine power to fight in his stead. These figures appear amid shrouds of fire and auras of light to inspire soldiers of the Great Crusade and reassure them that they will not be abandoned in their hour of need.

This limited edition of the Menite Archon is cast in a translucent, colored resin.

Privateer Press Hyper Cast Gatorman Boil Master & Spirit Cauldron

Hyper-Cast Gatorman Boil Master & Spirit Cauldron – 27,99 USD

The boil master is terrifying to look upon as he stirs his spirit cauldron, a large cast-iron pot full of a bubbling, sickly soup of melted fat, body parts, and blood. The boil master feeds this cauldron a steady supply of dead and dying meat in order to coax forth the feral spirits of decay and death, happily chopping up any who draw near lured by the fragrant smell of the stew.

This limited edition of the Gatorman Boil Master is packaged with a Spirit Cauldron cast in a translucent, colored resin.

Privateer Press Hyper Cast Spirit Cauldron

Hyper-Cast Spirit Cauldron – 7,99 USD

Privateer Press Monsterpocalypse Building Hyper Cast Mount Terra

Monsterpocalypse Building – Hyper-Cast Mount Terra – 18,99 USD

Mount Terra is a G.U.A.R.D. codename for the inexplicable volcanic eruptions that sometimes follow the path of the Terrasaurs. These are either a reaction to their presence or are perhaps part of some deliberate plan. Whatever their origins, Terrasaurs seem reinvigorated in the presence of Mount Terra and have been known to utilize the radiant heat of these eruptions to accelerate the hatching of their eggs.

This limited edition of Mt. Terra is cast in a translucent, colored resin.

Baxxter lesen)

  • @Zyklopenschlange
    Huch schon wieder April?
