You wait 10,000 years for Ahriman, then two show up at once!

Earlier today, we showed off some upcoming Thousand Sons miniatures. But what would the descendants of the XV Legion be without their most infamous son?*

Ahriman has been one of Warhammer 40,000’s most notorious villains for decades, and now he has a brand new model.

This new re-imagining of Ahriman follows a similar philosophy to the Khârn the Betrayer model we saw earlier this year. Still recognisably the same iconic figure, but with all dynamism and intricate detail that can now be achieved in plastic.

The most obvious change is the disk. Which we feel is fitting – it’s about time the most powerful mortal sorcerer in the galaxy didn’t have to walk.

Of course, this isn’t the fist new Ahriman we’ve seen this month. In the Burning of Prospero box, we saw a young, optimistic pre-Rubric Ahriman, battling to save his world from the vicious Space Wolves. We love how you can see the design elements on that model, exaggerated on the Ahriman model of the 41st Millennium.

Ahriman, along with the rest of the Thousand Sons, will be available to pre-order next weekend.

*Not made of Dust

This December, all is Dust… (and loads of new books)

Change is well and truly on it’s way folks.

This December sees the return of a demi-god to the Warhammer 40,000 universe, and nothing will be the same again.

Lets just take a moment to let that sink in, Magnus the Red is back. A Daemon Primarch from the Eye of Terror has returned to claim a vengeance denied to him for 10,000 years. We’re not 100% sure what his goals are for returning, but one thing’s for sure: we sure wouldn’t want to be the guys who burned his planet…

The model is not only incredibly detailed, it’s also absolutely huge: eye to single-eye with an Imperial Knight on the tabletop. And he’s not alone. A veritable legion of miniatures accompany him, some of whom you can see above – new Rubric Marines was perhaps to be expected, but there are also Terminators, disk-riding sorcerers and more.  All these will be covered in the new Wrath of Magnus book, part II in the War Zone: Fenris saga.

But that’s not all,

December also sees more books on the way that all Chaos Space Marine and Imperial commanders should immediately be adding to their Gift Lists. We’ll have more details on all of these for you soon, but for the moment, here’s a tantalising glimpse into the covers of the future:

Finally, there are some new boxsets on the way, all which are great ways to start a new army. These are great gifts for the holiday season for any hobbyists looking to start a new project this winter. There are sets available for both Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar, and all offer great value – as if any more excuse were needed to start that new hobby project…

Wow, what a month!
We’ll be back soon with details on all of the above items, so stay posted.

Thanks for reading folks.
