PRODUCT UPDATE: NORMAN AND PERSIAN SKETCHES
The Norman has an Italo Norman helmet option with face mask. We will include more Italo Norman styles in the Norman cavalry set and some on the command frame.
The Persian archer is the fourth figure on the main frame and next we have the musician which is the start of the Persian command frame sculpts. Hopefully we should be done sculpting the first Persian set sometime in January and then we will start the armoured Persian infantry which will include Spara as well as other shield shapes.
Keep your eyes peeled for renders later on this week.
PRODUCT UPDATE: PERSIANS
Here are the renders of the final unarmoured archer figure. This means the unarmoured Persian main frame sculpting is now complete (maybe a couple of extra bits) and we’re now moving on to the command frame. They should be done around mid January and then we’ll be working on the armoured Persian infantry, followed by the Persian cavalry.
You’ll see we’ve done a montage showing all 8 main frame figures so far. This a fraction of all the positions that can be achieved with this set.
We have also attached a sketch for the first Persian standard bearer which also has the option of being used as a spearman. He will have a bow case and different shield options. There will be 3 command figures in more standing style poses and 3 command figures in more active poses.
More updates coming soon.
PRODUCT UPDATE: NORMANS AND PERSIANS
Here are the renders for the 3rd Armoured Norman figure. He has various head and arm variants. Our sculptors are now working on the 4th Armoured Norman figure, before starting the Norman command frame.
Attached is a sketch of the first Norman command figure. We are going for some dynamic posing on some of the these figures with arms crossing the body, as well as body and head twists. This is going to be quite technically difficult with the fit and function of the separate pieces but the results will look great.
Also attached is a sketch for the first Persian officer figure. He is in a standing pose, as are the first Persian standard bearer and Musician. The next 3 command figures will be in more active poses. This is so we can have appropriate command for the more static archers and the more active spearmen. The officer is wearing a coat called a Kandis over his shoulders. Often worn much like a cloak. He will also have a couple of head options, one of which will be an ornate Attic helmet as officers and Nobles would often wear Helmets as well as the traditional Persian cap.
More updates to follow.
