Greece has proven her might and the forces of the vast Persian Empire have been repulsed. Each City-State believes it played a key part in the victory and this new-found pride has brought about rivalry, greed and conflict.
Generals and statesmen vie for power and wealth in the chaos, risking exile or execution while the boldest and ambitious gather to them their Hoplites; these tough warriors, armour clad and trained in war, stand loyal to their archon’s city or ideals. The price of failure being exile or death.
In this age of strife and conflict, bold men may seize greatness and become as Mortal Gods!
Mortal Gods is a skirmish tabletop game played with roughly 15-25 models on each side. Players select their force before each game based around a single heroic leader, or ‘Lochagos’, along with a number of loyal companions.
Battles are swift and bloody as players alternate acting with one warrior or a group of warriors – moving and fighting to achieve the scenario objectives, whether that be cutting down the enemy, defending an outpost or finding and protecting an important character.
As you play through the game, your hero will acquire new skills, and perhaps even catch the eye of the gods to gain victory – such choices are what create Mortal Gods.
This is your time, to carve your name, in the history of Ancient Greece!

‘Adronikos, the Spartan Lochos closes with us through the mountain pass’
Pelanus was the most trusted of the Athenian scouts and was also one of the quickest.
‘How many are they?’ Questioned Adronikos as he looked up from the warmth of the camp’s fire at his old friend.
‘I’d say 20-30.. but they are spread out. It was hard to get an exact count’.
‘Perfect’.
‘We will hit them from the high ground. We will drive them from Athens before they have the chance to form up’ Adronikos mused.
‘We could meet them head on?’ Pelanus suggested.
‘No. The men are tired. A head-on fight against the Spartans will risk too many of our lochos. Every Athenian life is precious. I will not rush into this’.
Pelanus looked confused and stopped to think upon the command. ‘I understand’ he said slowly, ‘But come the time I will follow you to Hades myself Andronikos’.
‘I know you will’ Andronikos replied as he slapped his comrade on the shoulder, ‚but today is not that day’.

„Astis, you have been stood on my shoulder for more than three breaths if you’re going to try and kill me get on with it.“

„My Captain, Meonas no I would never.“

Meonas turned and sneered at the man. „Then spit it out you whining simpleton.“ His hand hovered over the pommel of his sword.

Astis stepped back, although used to the venom from his commander he still found himself scared whenever in his presence. He’d seen Meonas, the Harvester, kill men for getting too close or being too slow with a reply, or ignoring orders. In fact, Meonas would probably kill a man for breathing at the wrong moment.

  • Hi,
