Games Workshop GAMA Warcry Preview

Get ready for your first proper look at an incredible new game that’ll take you to the heart of darkness itself…

This is Warcry – a new skirmish game from the makers of Kill Team and Warhammer Underworlds that allows you to experience the visceral carnage of battle in the Mortal Realms in a whole new way.

This is more than just a skirmish version of Warhammer Age of Sigmar – it’s hyper-kinetic, it’s tactical and it’s very, very bloody, featuring bold new game mechanics.

Warcry is perfect for narrative players looking to forge character-driven campaigns where warbands grow and develop through their own journey. Meanwhile, gamers looking for a close-matched, fast and exciting experience will find a game that fits both their coffee table and coffee break.

In the game, you’ll follow the myriad tribes of Chaos – reavers and despoilers from every corner of the realms – as they make their dark pilgrimage to the Varanspire. Warcry explores a never-before-seen side of life (and death!) in the Age of Sigmar. Every model for this game is brand new, reflecting on the dizzying diversity of Chaos on a scale never attempted before and rooted in rich lore that realises the servants of the Dark Gods as deep and varied cultures.

We’ll have more Warcry news for you (and some closer looks at those stunning models!) in the coming weeks – make sure to subscribe to our email newsletter and follow our Facebook page to make sure you don’t miss any announcements.

Games Workshop GAMA Forbidden Power Preview 1

The Necroquake has shaken the very foundations of the Mortal Realms. As tides of the dead rise up, and magic roams wild and free, secrets long thought hidden are set to be unveiled…

Forbidden Power is an expansion for every Warhammer Age of Sigmarplayer that’ll put you at the heart of the latest battles in the Soul Wars. Look forward to major narrative developments, new magical powers to unleash and new rules for all of your games. We’ll have more news on just what it means for you soon.

Games Workshop GAMA AoS Munchkin

In other Warhammer Age of Sigmar news, and on a lighter note: Warhammer Age of Sigmar Munchkin is coming! The endless possibilities of the Mortal Realms combined with the endless hilarity of Munchkin – this is going to be epic!

Games Workshop GAMA Blackstone Fortress 1

Commissars and Ogryns are some of the most intimidating warriors of the Astra Militarum. Both are rightly respected and feared by other soldiers in the Guard for wildly different reasons – the former for their iron discipline and utter fearlessness and the latter for their brute strength and dogged, simple faith in the Emperor. And when they turn traitor… well…

Traitor Command is a new adventure pack for Warhammer Quest: Blackstone Fortress that sees you descend into darkness to crush a growing Chaos threat. You’ll face terrifying new hostiles with the Traitor Commissar and Chaos Ogryn, find strange and powerful new gear, and forge alliances with unlikely friends in Precipice…

Like The Dreaded Ambull, Traitor Command can be tackled as an expedition in its own right or added to your main set to add even more challenge to your other quests. For you Chaos fans out there, both the Traitor Commissar and Chaos Ogryn will be receiving datasheets for adding them to your Warhammer 40,000 army.

Chaos Space Marines Focus: The Lord Discordant

After Shadowspear and Abaddon, could the new Chaos release get any cooler?

Yes. Yes it could.

Meet the Lord Discordant.

We’ll give you a few seconds to take it all in.

This is the Lord Discordant – a new HQ choice for Chaos armies that combines the might of a Maulerfiend, the wisdom of a Warpsmith and the leadership of a Chaos Lord into one deadly package. This is Chaos turned up to 11, then turned up some more, until the dials fall off and start leaking blood.

Some of you spotted this guy on the cover of Vigilus Ablaze, before being shot down in the comments of our Facebook page – consider yourselves vindicated!

Right now, we’re sure you have some questions, and we’ve got answers…

What is a Lord Discordant?

Lords Discordant are Chaos Space Marines who have a sinister, arcane mastery over machinery, similar to Warpsmiths in their training and fell purpose. However, while Warpsmiths are generally found behind their mechanical charges, enacting repairs, Lords Discordant prefer to lead from the front, fighting from the backs of scuttling Daemon Engines known as Helstalkers. Bellowing profane litanies that cause nearby machines to glitch and seize, they specialise at dismantling tanks, skimmers and the like with prying mechadendrites and brutal swings of their impaler chainglaives.

Lords Discordant feed off the suffering of the machines they destroy, using their captured motive force to repair their Daemon Engines and annihilate the enemy with coruscating beams of repurposed energy.

How Do They Work In-game?

Lords Discordant are an HQ choice for Chaos Space Marine armies. If you love Daemon Engines, this is the leader for you, enhancing the powers of Maulerfiends, Defilers or any other unit you might choose. Enacting battlefield repairs and disrupting enemy vehicles, no heretic armoured spearhead should be without one!

Games Workshop Warhammer 40.000 The Lord Discordant Preview 7

A Lord Discordant is a deadly combatant in their own right and, while specialising in dismantling vehicles, can put those same skills to work on more organic foes. Lords Discordant also pack some pretty impressive firepower with your choice of autocannon or baleflamer.

When Can I Get One?

Patience, oh loyal servant of Chaos! The Lord Discordant is but one of the incredible new releases on the way for Chaos Space Marines and will be available to pre-order over the next few weeks.

If you’re itching to start your horde of Daemon Engines early, well, you’re in luck! The Lord Discordant synergises amazingly with the Chaos force found in Shadowspear, which is available to pre-order now. And, if you’re looking to really unleash some carnage, grab yourself a Lord of Skulls – you haven’t seen destruction until you’ve seen one supercharged by a Lord Discordant…

Erinnert mich optisch aber irgendwie an Hate. 🤔

Würde so gern mal up to date Slaanesh-Chaoskrieger/-Barbaren sehen…

    – das Blackstone Fortress Add-On dito

    Was den Chaoslord angeht:
