The Results are in. You have been voting in your hundreds (1,600 to be precise) and we can now reveal the winners of the ‘Wargames Illustrated Awards 2019’… Just before we do, I should point out that in the February 2020 issue of the magazine – WI388 out at the end of January – you will be able to read the reaction from all the winners and answers to the standard question we put to them of “what’s next?”

  • Oh! Was? Die Gewinner sind 2019 alle britische Firmen und britische Spiele?
    So wie 2018 alle Gewinner britisch waren?
    Und so wie auch im Jahr davor alle britisch waren?

    Wieso verspüre ich jetzt die Lust, „kleiner Freundschaftsdienst“ aus Aladdin vor mir her zu trällern? ^^

    • Es handelt sich halt um ein britisches Magazin mit Fokus auf historische Settings. Daher wird es eher schwierig Sci-Fi oder andereSettings zu finden.

      • Also gerade bei ‚Best Range‘ ist das schon sehr fragwürdig. Perrys ok, würde ich vllt sogar auf 1 setzen. Aber BA? Und BS bestes NEUES Regelwerk? Und mit Gaslands ist ja doch Sci-Fi dabei. Wobei das Jahr was Regeln angeht schon etwas mau war, bis auf die Flut an welchen für die Antike.

      • Wenn hier etwas offensichtlich wird, dann, dass sich da eben vor allem eine regionale Sub-Szene, die auch primär die WI-Leserschaft bildet, an der Befragung beteiligt. Die Ergebnisse sind weder überraschend noch irgendwie empörend.

  • Ich finde die Ergebniss völlig nachvollziehbar – schließlich ist die Wargames Illustrated ein britische Magazin mit überwiegend britischen Lesern und Schwerpunkt auf historischen Tabletop-Systemen. Und: Würde GW so einen Award im White Dwarf ausrufen, wären sicherlich auch nicht deutsche Spielsysteme wie „Freebooter’s Fate“, „Summoners“ oder „Koalitionskrieg“ unter den Geehrten 😉

    • Was hat dann dieser Artikel für eine Rellevanz für uns? Mich juckt’s nicht, wem ein hier relativ unbekanntes Magazin (Unbekannt im Sinne von: Hier liest es keiner.) für Preise an heimische Hersteller und Vereine vergibt. Sry, is aber so. 😉

    • Also, ich zähle auch zu denen, die ihr TabletopInsider-Abo gekündigt haben und mittlerweile Wargames Illustrated lesen.

      Und auch die Ergebnisse finde ich jetzt weder überraschend noch problematisch. Passt halt zum Fokus des Magazins.

      Und ich lese trotzdem den Brückenkopf, also . . .
