Kung Fu Panda: Board Game Kickstarter

Von Modiphius kommt ein neuer Brettspiel-Kickstarter.

Modiphius Entertainment are creating an awesome co-operative board game where you get to play as one of the Furious Five or Dragon Warrior Po. Explore the game’s different challenges as you come up against Ox Grunts, Wolf Slashers & Spearmen, and the Wolf Boss as well as Tai Lung himself.

Und darum geht es:

Each of the heroes has a character card with a number of health points (hearts) and a special power. In the case of Po if he rolls a Chi symbol, he can use it to heal wounds.

The game uses the Furious Action Dice which show various faces: a Kick, a Punch, two Moves, a Chi and a Claw. Players frantically roll four dice to get different combos to move around the board, attack enemies, and complete exciting objectives. The game features a unique mechanic, if you roll Claws on the dice, you move around the Dial of Destiny triggering enemies to spawn and attack!

We had a great review from Kung Fu legend and Youtube reviewer, Rahdo Runs Through It at UK Games Expo!

We’ve created the Furious Five and the various enemies as PVC plastic figures.

Pledges:

There are two main pledges. The £25 Kung Fu Panda board game gets you just that, at a saving on the planned retail price. In addition you’ll get any unlocked base game stretch goals marked with the Panda Plus sign.

For the collectors and gamers there’s the £60 Kung Fu Panda Board game with the Masters which includes all the base game stretch goals, the Kickstarter Exclusive Masters miniatures AND the stretch goals marked with Po’s Kick!

Mal schauen was in 4 Wochen so alles passiert…

Other Projects. You may know we’ve been working for some time on the Kung Fu Panda boardgame. It was delayed as we threw all the boardgame resources at Siege of the Citadel so it could be Kickstarted first. However we’re out of time now on the license period and must now launch Kung Fu Panda to meet our contractual requirements. It will be shipping after Siege but we wanted to let you know why this is going ahead.

  • Hey all,
We’ve already addressed the KFP/SotC issue in the update and via newsletter.

To address some of the other comments –
@Denny you can absolutely play without the timer for a calmer game for kids.
With that in mind, we’ll be releasing a few more updates to detail different play modes so keep your eyes peeled to the KS today.

It’s worth pledging £1 & upgrading just to get in on the savings from the KS. Once this goes to retail the price will go up!
Feel free to field further questions over on our KS comments, I’ll be responding to them throughout the next 4 weeks.

    Cheers everyone!
    Chris
