Age of Sigmar: Legions of Nagash und Nurgle
Auf dem Warhammer-Fest wurde natürlich auch was für Age of Sigmar angekündigt, das neue Battletome: Legions of Nagash und es gibt eine Vorschau auf die zweite Welle an Nurgle Modellen.
Battletome: Legions of Nagash
What about the Mortal Realms? Worry not, generals – the Open Day also saw some exciting reveals for Warhammer Age of Sigmar. While the Malign Portents remain as mysterious as ever, one thing is certain – something great and terrible is rising in Shyish, and Nagash is behind it. This year promises to be a huge one for Death players, and we’re getting things started with Legions of Nagash, a new battletome with not one – but SIX! – allegiances within:
Since the start of Warhammer Age of Sigmar, each Grand Alliance has evolved to feature more factions, allegiance abilities and options for collecting; from the mixed Order armies of the Great Cities to the god-marked cavalcades of Chaos. Battletome: Legions of Nagash is designed to make sure that Death players have just as many options as their counterparts. Inside, you’ll find the warscrolls for every single Death model (so far…) alongside four new Allegiances within Death – the Grand Host of Nagash, Legion of Shadows, Legion of Sacrament and Legion of Blood. You’ll also find rules for the Soulblight vampires, if you’re looking to field one of Death’s most elite armies. If you would rather have an army formed from multiple facets of Nagash’s legions, there are also rules for those who pledge themselves more generally to the powers of Death.
The particularly devout among you may have spotted that each of these corresponds to a Mortarch (or Nagash himself), and each allegiance, while using a mixed pool of Death units, will feature its own unique in-game mechanics and abilities.
It’s not just rules, either – inside, you’ll find your guide to the realm of Shyish and what everyday life is like for the denizens of Nagash’s kingdoms – from the serried ranks of Deathrattle skeletons cutting lumber in the woods of Carstinia to sinister cities where the living and the dead dwell alongside each other. We’ll have more previews on the way closer to the release of Battletome: Legions of Nagash, but if you’re still hungry for the forbidden lore of Death, check out the Malign Portents website.
Nach dem die ersten Modelle des Seuchengottes letzten Samstag in die Vorbestellung gegangen sind, steht schon der Nachschub bereit.
Next Week’s Pre-orders: The Cycle of Corruption
While there’s a plethora of putrid presents for every Nurgle fan already available, next week will see the corps of the Plague God swell even further with some mortal reinforcements, as well as one particularly notable Herald…
If you’ve got a Rotbringers army, or if you’re looking for some new tactical options for your Nurgle force, both the Lord of Blights and Pusgoyle Blightlords are excellent options. The former helps add ranged attacks to nearby Putrid Blightkings, while the latter are amongst the fastest units in the entire Nurgle army. Meanwhile, if you’re looking for another Hero for your army, the Pusgoyle Blightlords kit also builds the Rot Fly mounted Lord of Afflictions, a terrifying overlord who brings Nurgle’s plagues to bear from above.
For the Daemons of Nurgle, meanwhile, the Beast of Nurgle will be available next week for your Warhammer 40,000 or Warhammer Age of Sigmar army, as well as the Sloppity Bilepiper. These jovial servants of Nurgle are a great addition to any army, with the former acting as deadly shock units (as they bound up the battlefield to “befriend” your foes) while the latter provides handy bonuses for most units in your army (bar Plaguebearers, who are far too dour to enjoy the capering of these corrupt comedians).
You’ll be able to pre-order these units next week, while in the meantime, you can grab yourself some of the awesome new Nurgle models right now – check them out on our webstore.
