Mantic Games: Terrain Crate Kickstarter

Der neue Geländekickstarter von Mantic Games läuft.

Created by Mantic Games, the brains behind the hugely popular BattleZones modular terrain and tabletop games – including The Walking Dead: All Out War, Kings of War and Dungeon Saga: The Dwarf King’s QuestTerrainCrate is a new range of incredibly detailed, pre-assembled, plastic scenery to create your perfect custom dungeon or battlefield.

With this Kickstarter, you’ll get fantasy terrain that’s:

  • Affordable! – save up to 50% on the RRP, plus additional free stretch goals
  • Plastic! – this will be hard-wearing plastic, rather than potentially fragile (and often expensive) resin
  • Multi-purpose! – combine different sets to create entirely new themes and rooms
  • Pre-built! – all the scenery pieces are ready straight from the box
  • Multi-use! – we’ve created TerrainCrate to be used with a range of games, RPGs and existing terrain ranges

Each piece comes in coloured plastic, so you can instantly take them out the box and place them on your gaming table, ready to play. Whether you’re exploring a mysterious dungeon, visiting a medieval town or fighting it out on the fields of battle, TerrainCrate brings your tabletop to life.

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?

Along with producing great value miniatures and tabletop games, another of our passions here at Mantic is fantastically detailed terrain. Scenery can bring so much to your dungeon crawling adventures or action-packed skirmishes but it doesn’t normally come cheap. Although a great deal of scenery is already available in resin, this can be expensive and potentially fragile!

So, we want to create hard-wearing, plastic terrain that can last a lifetime and doesn’t cost a dragon’s hoard! We’d love to be able to produce hundreds of incredibly detailed scenery pieces but for that to happen, we need your help to make the dream a reality.

With the TerrainCrate Kickstarter, you’ll help us create the tooling we need to produce TerrainCrate products, and in exchange you’ll be the first in the world to own this amazing range and you’ll get it at an even more amazing price!

When launched in 2018, each of the sets – such as the Wizard’s Study or the Campsite – will retail at $29.99, so the Kickstarter is a great saving on the retail price. Plus you get the Kickstarter exclusive box and applicable stretch goals!

MULTIPLE USES!

We have designed the TerrainCrate pieces to not only be useful for own products – including Kings of War and Dungeon Saga – but we’ve also ensured the scale is perfect for 28mm fantasy miniatures games. What’s more the size is compatible with many existing scenery or terrain lines already available, so it’s ideal for adding even more character to your scenery collection.

KICKSTARTER EXCLUSIVE PACKAGING!

By backing the Kickstarter, not only will you get a host of great scenery at an incredible price, each themed Crate will also come in special, Kickstarter exclusive packaging. You can use this hard-wearing, card box with six compartments inside to transport an entire Crate in and you’ll still have room for some extras. It’s the perfect size to pop in your bag when you’re heading to an RPG session at your local store or a tough skirmish conflict at your gaming club. The only way to get your hands on one of these cool Crates is by backing the Kickstarter.
