      • Nur die Farmer sind bisher aus PVC. Also das Team für 35GBP. Alle anderen Gilden sind aus Metall. Deswegen der höhere Preis

      • Die Zweispieler-Starterbox ist auch aus PVC. Und so wie ich gehört habe sollen weitere Veröffentlichungen ebenfalls PVC werden. Oder habe ich das falsch verstanden und es werden weiter Einzelmodelle in Zinn erscheinen?

    Keiner hat es in der Hand gehabt, alle finden es doof 🙂

    Wartet ab, die bisherigen Berichte sagen, dass sie sehr gute sein sollen.

    • Ich hatte die PVC Modelle in der Hand. Auf jeden Fall die aus der Starterbox. Und ich finde sie bei weitem nicht so gut wie Zinn oder Resin. Und auch nicht einmal so gut wie die PVC-Modelle von CMON.

  • Ich halte seit heute die Farmer-Box in meinen Händen. Und ich muss sagen, man bekommt ja für die 35GBP nicht nur die Minis, sondern auch ein bisschen Gelände inkl. Tor, direkt deutsche Karten und alle benötigten Marker. Welche man normalerweise auch für Rund 10-15€ dazu kaufen muss. Daher finde ich das Gesamtpaket schon sehr gelungen. Zumal die Figuren in der Box in einem „Inlay“ liegen, wo jede Figur genau seinen Platz hat, so dass man sie auch gut lagern kann (wie aus Spielen wie z.B. Zombicide BP oder Darks Souls bekannt), genauso wie die Karten. Einzig die Marker lägen lose rum. Zudem befindet sich auch ein Lebenspunktmarker/Rad für jede Mini bei, so dass man die LP nicht mehr auf der Karte abstreichen muss sondern einfach seinen Marker weiter drehen kann. Was ich doch sehr angenehm finde. Nun noch zum eigentlichen Thema PVC / Resin / Metallminis ein paar Worte.

    Ich schreibe das ganze mal aus Sicht der Plastikfiguren:

    Pro:
    zusammengebaut
    leicht vormodelierte Base
    direkt fertig zum spielen
    ganz leichte „Entgratung“ der Minis

    Nachteil:
    Gerade dünne Teile sind weich/biegsam und daher mit Vorsicht zu genießen.
    Wenn etwas kaputt geht, dann ist es schwieriger es zu reparieren (meiner Meinung nach)

    Gleichstand: Die Qualität der Minis ist vom Detailgrad und der Gussschärfe meiner Meinung nach sehr ähnlich.

    Pro für die gesamte Box:
    der Preis ist super
    Geländestücke wie z.B. das Tor oder auch ein Hindernis
    alle Marker sind direkt mit in der Box

    Wenn man das ganze aus Sicht eines Spieler betrachtet, dann finde ich eigentlich keinen Grund warum ich nicht zu PVC Figuren greifen sollte. Dafür überwiegen die positiven Punkte einfach viel zu sehr. Vor allem auch, da das zusammenbauen weg fällt und da die Minis aus einem Guss sind, hat man auch kein Problem mit Passgenauigkeit etc.

    Aus Sicht eines Sammlers oder Pro-Painter gebe ich euch aber Recht, da wirken die Zinn Minis wertiger (da auch schwerer) und ich weiß selbst noch nicht, wie gut sich PVC Figuren bemalen lassen.

    Aber wie gesagt, jemand der gerne und viel spielt, für den lohnt sich die PVC Variante. Über Langlebigkeit kann ich allerdings an dieser Stelle noch nicht sagen^^.

    • Ich empfinde vormodellierte Bases als Nachteil, wenn ich ehrlich bin.

      Was ist denn mit dem Scale? Bei den bisherigen Modellen war der Maßstab nicht konsistent mit den Metallmodellen. Ist das immernoch so?

      • Das mit dem Größenunterschied weiß ich nicht. Habe aber auch noch keine Zeit gehabt sie mit meinen anderen Figuren zu vergleichen.

      • Habe gerade mal auf die schnelle wegen der Größe geguckt. Habe die „normal“ großen Modelle mit einigen der Butcher & Engineers verglichen. Also auf den ersten Blick habe ich keine Größenunterschiede feststellen können. Die Damen sahen sogar exakt gleich „groß“ aus. Bei den Männern ist es natürlich etwas schwerer zu vergleichen, da einige mehr einige etwas weniger anhaben. Aber auch da ist kein/kaum ein Unterschied zu erkennen. Eventuell sind die Resinmodelle ein hauch kräftiger als die Plastikvariante. Meiner Meinung nach kann man sagen, dass da kein greifbarer Unterschied da ist.

    • Die PVC-Minis des Zweispieler-Starters, welche ich mehrmals in den Händen hatte, haben nie und nimmer die selbe Detailschärfe wie Metall oder Resin Minis das haben.

      Dass man die Minis nicht zusammenbauen muss und sie kaum kaputt zu kriegen sind ist zum spielen sicher ein Vorteil. Für ein Brettspiel wäre das auch durchaus angemessen. Bei einem Table Top ist der Zusammenbau aber ein wesentlicher Teil des hobbys der mir persönlich auch Spass macht.
      Nicht zu vergessen ist ausserdem, dass längliche Teile bei PVC durchaus mal krumm und verbogen ankommen können. Auch mit heissem Wasser ist es schwer die Teile auf die Dauer gerade hin zu bekommen.

      Wenn man die Modelle bemalen will muss man sie entgraten. Gerade hier ist es kein Vorteil, wenn die Figuren schon zusammengebaut und gabased sind. Das macht das entgraten schwieriger. Ausserdem sind PVC Minis niemals leichter zu entgraten als Resin oder Metall. Gerade wenn der Gusgrat über detaillierte Stellen verläuft. Ich habe schon genug PVC Modelle entgrated um das zu wissen. Der Weiche Plastik macht es viel schwieriger die Grate schön wegzuschneiden, geschweige dann zu feilen.

      Langlebigkeit: Immerhin hält die Farbe gut auf PVC. Aber wenn die Weichmacher nach mehreren Jahren mal draussen sind wird das Material wohl spröde und eventuell brüchig werden. Das muss man aber erst mal abwarten. Wir sehen es dann in 20 Jahren oder so.

      • Die Figuren aus der Starterbox habe ich nur mal auf der Spiel 2016 gesehen. Da muss ich aber sagen, dass die aktuellen Farmers deutlich besser geworden sind. Sie sind mMn sogar nochmals besser als die von Dark Souls, da auch detaillierter.

        Was den TableTop aspeckt angeht gäbe ich dir eigentlich recht, aber die Comunity hatte damals wohl abgestimmt das sie PVC Figuren haben wollen, die schon fertig sind. Ich sehe Guild Ball daher auch eher als (Brett)Spiel als als TableTop. Das sehe ich bei Blood Bowl aber auch so.

        Was lange dünne und verbogene Sachen angeht, gebe ich dir aber vollkommen Recht.

        Was das entgraten angeht hast du anscheinend mehr Erfahrung als ich. Aber die Grate die mir bisher aufgefallen sind, sind a) wenige und b) an gut erreichbaren Stellen.

        Aber unterm Strich bin ich dennoch der Meinung, dass das Preis Leistung Verhältnis Top ist. Und für Gelegenheitsspieler und denen die es eher als Brettspiel sehen die bessere Wahl. Und lässt man noch 1-2 Jahre ins Land gehen, dann wird sich PVC sicherlich nochmals verbessert haben und sich immer mehr durchsetzten.

      • PS: Vielleicht liegt der anscheinend besser Detailgrad bei den Farmers auch daran, dass sie die ersten sind, die nur für PVC konzipiert sind. Bei den Starter-Box Minis handelt es sich ja fast (bis auf kleine Abweichungen) um die normalen schon vorhandenen Minis. Nur eine Vermutung von mir. Ich weiß leider nicht, wie man hier Fotos einbinden kann und ob man das darf, sonst würde ich einfach mal ein Gruppenfoto machen.

        Wenn das Spiel im Vordergrund steht und nicht die Modelle ist PVC sicher eine gute Wahl. Trotzdem habe ich lieber die Wahl auch ein anderes Materieal zu nehmen. Ich gebe dafür auch gerne mehr Geld aus, da mir das bemalte Endergebnis am Schluss einfach besser gefällt.

        Beim entgraten kommt es halt drauf an wie sauber man es denn wirklich haben will und welche Werkzeuge und Technik man anwendet. Wenn die Mini gut gegossen ist, hat man bei Metall, Resin oder Hardplastik sicher die dünneren mold lines und kann sie mit dem Skalpell einfach und gezielt wegschaben (Resin/Hartplastik) oder mit einer feinen Feile entfernen. Das funktioniert bei PVC leider nicht so gut. Allerdings kann Resin Luftlöcher haben oder das Metall auch unsauber gegossen sein. Dann ist der Aufwand etwas grösser.

        Die bis jetzt besten PVC Minis sind wohl immer noch die von Blood Rage und Zombiecide: Black Plauge. Davon habe ich einige bemalt. Ich habe auch Dark Souls gespielt. Die Minis sind zweifelsohne gut. Ich habe aber keine davon zum Bemalen präpariert. Was ich hingegen hier habe sind einige der Guild Ball Resin Minis und auch die Zinn Varianten. Nicht alle der Zinnmodelle sind sauber gegossen, leider. Die Bemalung am Ende wirkt in meiner Erfahrung aber einfach besser als auf den PVC Sachen. Ausserdem geht die Bemalung leichter von der Hand. Nicht ohne Grund verwenden Firmen für ihre Werbebilder und Studiobemalungen auch immer die Resinmaster und nicht die PVC-Modelle die sie schlussendlich dem Kunden liefern. Wenn man genau hinschaut sieht man das bei z.B bei CMON.

        Mit Föhn? Du erwärmst also den Plastik oder die Klige? Und dann sind die Grate einfacher zu entfernen? Danke für den Tip. Muss ich einmal testen.
