T9A The 9th Age 2nd Edition Beta Release Dates Announced 2

Dear community,

The pace accelerates. Time to think about the ending line of the Marathon!

You have seen all the spoilers made about the BRB (Base Rules Book) and the PoM (Paths of Magic) in the Behind the Scenes blog – you haven’t? Here they are: The 9th Age Behind the Scenes Blog.
You have seen by now most of the spoilers about your favorite Army Books – you haven’t? Check them out from here: ACS – Update Thread.

Now you may wonder, if we have been able to disclose so many spoilers, that should mean we’re getting very close to be able to deliver the long awaited Beta, right?
And indeed, you would be right!

Two weeks ago, we gave you an update about the huge amount of work remaining. It was in the news The Roadmap towards the release of The Ninth Age Second Edition BETA!

Since that time, all teams have been delivering under massive overtime work, and some have completed their work!
Here is the last update I have heard:

  • Armybooks: 11 are all done, except proof reading to make sure no mistakes. 5 awaiting new names and rules review final touches.
  • Slim paths: Done, except proof reading to make sure no mistakes
  • Slim rulebook: Layout still long way to go. Solution invetigated.
  • Full paths and rulebook, not planned to be part of initial release.

With this, we are confident enough to announce a date – well, actually, several dates.
Be aware, we are NOT ready today. We PLAN to be ready at this date, based on how long it takes to complete all the remaining tasks.
The first date for which you have to prepare yourself to download frantically (despite thousands similar fans trying to clog our servers at the same time) and spend the rest of the day reading avidly wil be:

  • Sunday 17th December: The Main Rule Book.

You have been told about most big changes, but seeing the real thing is another story!
We leave you one day, no more, to swallow this massive book, and it is already time to ingurgitate the next book:

  • Monday 18th December: The Paths of Magic.

Here as well, the BTS Blog revealed you 4 paths already. What about the other ones? Here they come!
Next will come the Army Books updated to 2Ed Beta stage. Three will be delivered every day, following the alphabetical order:

  • Tuesday 19th December
  • Wednesday 20th December
  • Thursday 21st December
  • Friday 22nd December
  • Saturday 23rd December
  • Sunday 24th December, our totally new version of WDG, as a full book!

At this time, you will have everthing you need to play with the new rules!

Now that your calendars have been circled with big marks, please allow me to remind you that the dates announced are as good as we know today, but there could still be some accidents preventing the release as we all wish. We did not store our production for a date determined by salesmen, it depends on the work of our exhausted volunteers, and we hope deerly that all of them will make it up to the last days.

For sure, they will have deserved a great, great rest with their families during the traditional Christmas break.
A good time to play some T9A, wouldn’t it be?

See you in a few more days,
T9A team.

  • Interessant. Meine Warriors of Cha…the Dark gods würden gerne wieder mit Dämonen in die Schlacht ziehen
