World Of Twilight: Neue Greens
Bei World of Twilight gibt es wieder neue Greens zu sehen!
The Falconer and the Herder Queen are both with the caster, so today I have some more work in progress shots for you!
Dehran is one of the massive Enarii who rule the Delgon. Whereas Roban is driven by a cold hatred of the Devanu, Dehran has taken more of a role as a General in the Delgon armies. This brought him into contact with the Dhogu, who revere these mighty gods and Dehran is nearly always accompanied by his personal KalDreman bodyguards.
The first picture shows an early sculpt with my scrawls all over showing The Plan. The second picture shows where he has got to at the moment.
Firstly, we have Dehran who is now sporting a fancy helmet and shoulder pad in a distinctly dhogu style. I’m still working on the axes and the shoulder pad will get a trim, but he’s coming along well!
The second piece is a bit more random – a special prize for winners of the painting challenge. There’s still time to enter for the final month if you haven’t already!
Having shown the almost completed falconer I’m going to head slightly back in time to another sculpt I’ve been working on at the same time.
The second engineer backer was Wouter. He had a very clear idea for his character – an ambitious noble who is in charge of the emperor’s Enuk herds, including the rare Enuk nobilis. She’s been dubbed ‘the Herder Queen’.
We went through a few design iterations but concluded she should be from teral (same as danakan), which would make her taller and more imposing. Wouter was also keen for her to ride an Enuk nobilis, normally only ridden by the Knights of Relan. She’s obviously managed to pull some rather influential strings!
The herder queen was slowly taking form. Her head came out right on the second attempt (first was scrapped before I took any photos) with her very restrained head dress.
We then had another big decision – what to do with her left hand. The original sketch was open handed but we decided to give her an elegant sword instead. The sword was sculpted separately, then tacked in place for Wouter to review. Thankfully he liked how it was turning out!
Wouter’s vision for the herder queen was that she should be wealthy, but spending a lot of time in the saddle and probably a bit of a handful for her husband.
I added a bunch of bags to her saddle and covered the nice smart saddle with some rougher looking hides (mementos from her travels). This all tied in with the furs to show her wilder side.
