Stronghold Terrain: Ruinen Previews
Stronghold Terrain zeigen neue Ruinen, die im Jahresverlauf erscheinen sollen.
After a long intermezzo with a lot of Dark Age buildings and suitable terrain pieces I finally returned to my big project – a modular set of modern ruined buildings. The masters of most of the walls for no less than 5 new ruins have been built nearly 2 years ago. Over the last weeks I reworked the bases, did a lot of new rubbel and decided which parts will build the different ruins. I also worked on the structures for the upper floor and built a stair. In the added pictures you can see 2 of the 5 ruins, the stair, the basic (undameged) structure for the upper floor, the damaged upper floor for one ruine and a lot of new rubbel.
A view in the future of this project:
After a lot of considerations I decided to release each ruin in a basic variant for gamers AND offer a additive set to further detail each special ruin into a kind of diorama.
In compariso with the “older” ruin we offer for more than 2 years
– the basic variant will be cheaper, simpler to be build and easier to handled …
– the detailed variant will be even more detailed and more realistic looking …
… than the “old” version.
The different sets of ruins are modular and can be build and arranged in many different ways. This will give the customer the posibillity to build more than 20 differnt ruined building by combine parts from different sets.
I also have further plans like outbuildings and garages. In combination with our already existing models/terrain pieces like walls with iron fences, cobblestone streets, sandbag emplacements, burning tires or barrels, dungheap etc. you can build a fantastic and realistic looking urban battlefield for the first and second World War, the presence or a dark future. This will go perfectly with gaming systems like Bolt Action, DUST or WARZONE MODERN BATTLE etc..
The first two basic ruins and at least a detailing set for one of them will be shown and prereleased in 3 weeks on the TACTICA convention in Hamburg. I hope to release the next ruins at the RPC convention in Köln in May 2015.
I hope you like the results so far and would be very pleased to get some feedback. I am also open for further ideas and suggestions.
