Fallen Frontiers: Freie Heldenwahl
Nach der Flexibilisierung des Startersets dürfen die Käufer jetzt auch ihre Gratishelden frei auswählen.
So sieht die Neuregelung im Detail aus:
Today we have something that might interest you. We have been listening to backer feedback, and are now allowing them to choose what heroes they get as a free stretch goal. This should give more flexibility to both gamers and painters to get what they want. This is how things are changing:
- At $60k, $100k and $110k we unlock a free hero of your choice. This can be any hero from the add-ons section, regardless of faction.
- Some heroes are going to be unlocked earlier. Bitsie has been moved to $55k, Hank has been moved to $97,5k ad Fink has been moved to $105k.
- Magnus and Alexander have been added as $92,5k stretch goals as a complement for the Tharken 17 campaign (background story coming soon).
Derzeit gibt es also einen kostenlosen Helden nach Wunsch, schon bei 100.000 Dollar wird ein weiterer dazukommen.

Within the Riff invasion fleet in the Milky Way there were voices dissenting with the objective of the mission. One of them would have been Krull Baal´s, if he ever spoke a word. Revenge never brought anything good and this is something the Riff had suffered in their own flesh long ago. We would never learn, Krull was convinced of it. We invent new words with which we distract, confuse and break our promises. The voice is the instrument of deception, the only sound coming out of me will be bullets abandoning my gun. Capsules of sincerity at 950 m/s.
Memories roared through Alexander’s mind. He must have been having a highly ordered dream in which his memories from the Ares liberation passed in front of him. The dream finally came to a halt at that moment, that dreadful night on T17… immobile… amputated…
Alexander opened his right eye. He was sitting on the deck of the Wallenstein and everything was pretty blurry. In a few seconds he realized what the situation was: he had fallen in combat and was now kept alive by the Harvester technology built into his body. The harvester patrols that wandered around the ship ignored him, and so he could make his way to the main deck where he hoped to find some answers to what was happening.
Upon entering the main deck Alexander accessed the console of the Wallenstein. He checked the destrination coordinates, Earth. “Why attack Earth?”, he wondered. Suddenly an electric shock cracked down his spine to the base of his brain making him fall to his knees. “Collect and assimilate all organic life forms, build an invincible army to serve the Masters”. This thought echoed in Alexander’s head again and again. Were these the same masters who had created the Ares? Were these other cosmic tyrants?
Three days had passed since the Alexander had regained conciousness. He had already got used to his new integrated systems, including being able to give the ship simple commands and deactivate some machines with just a mere thought. As a former Ares operator, he had already been a slave once, and he wasn’t going to let that happen again. He located the ship’s weapons hold which contained one of the prototypes which was going to be used to attack Earth.
The plan was simple: get a hold of the weapon, deploy on Earth with the rest of the Harvester troops, eliminate them with the use of the prototypes, and join the counteroffensive forces in order to find Aerin and Krieguer, who will most likely find themselves in the same situation…
Jeff McKinley was a Sayx soldier assigned to the Tharken campaign. When the alarm went off, the second night after landing on the planet, he barely had time to run to the armory and rush to defend the perimeter of his assigned sector. Just seconds after leaving the facility a sudden shock left him unconscious on the floor. When he regained consciousness he discovered a devastating scene.
He was surrounded by a pile of corpses of his fellow soldiers while nightmarish creatures were searching for survivors. “Don’t move”, he thought to himself, “They will think you are dead and leave, just don’t move a muscle”. “I am a stone, I am a sphinx made of stone and I won’t even move by an inch”. He repeated these words to himself constantly. He was still repeating those words when a mechanical claw caught him along with several of his dead comrades, and lifted them into the air towards the center of the necroprocessor.
“I am a sphinx… I am a sphynx… I am sphynx… I am sphynx, and I am ready to execute the annihilation protocol…”
